You’re busy with soccer, fall ball, volleyball, holidays, and all of the meals in between. So, we understand how laundry and car care can take a big chunk out of your free time. At our Soaps N Suds laundromat and car wash in Newport News, you can take care of both chores at one convenient location.
Our 416 Harpersville Road location features a full-service laundromat along with a touchless car wash, making it easy to get your clothes and your car clean in the same trip.
The laundromat is open every day from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with the last wash starting at 9 p.m. The car wash is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whether you’re fitting laundry into a busy workweek or tackling weekend chores, you have plenty of flexibility.
Do Your Laundry Your Way
Our Harpersville Road laundromat offers self-service washing and drying for everyday clothes, family-size loads, bedding and many bulky washable items.
The machines use a convenient laundry card system. You can add value to your card using cash or a major credit or debit card.
Choose a washer that gives your laundry enough room to move freely inside the drum. Avoid squeezing a comforter or an overflowing hamper into a machine that’s too small. For bulky items, check the care label and choose an appropriately sized machine. If you’re unsure which washer to use, just ask one of our attendants for help.
Let Our Team Handle Your Laundry
Don’t have time to wash, dry and fold everything yourself? Our Newport News location also offers drop-off laundry service seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Wash, Dry & Fold service is $1.49 per pound, while Wash & Dry service is 90 cents per pound. Same-day service is also available for eligible orders.
Drop-off laundry service works best for clothing, towels, bedding and other items that can be washed normally and tumble dried. Dry-clean-only garments, delicate items and clothing requiring special drying methods may not be suitable.
Let our attendant know about any detergent preferences or special instructions when dropping off your laundry. You can also confirm your total price and expected pickup time before leaving.
Use Our Touchless Car Wash While You’re Here
What makes this Soaps N Suds location a little different? You can get your laundry done and wash your car at the same Newport News location.
Our Harpersville Road touchless car wash uses water pressure and cleaning products rather than brushes that physically touch your vehicle. Multiple wash packages are available, with features that may include an undercarriage wash, presoak, high-pressure wash, rinse, and blow dry. Need a vacuum? We’ve got that too.
The car wash is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you can wash your vehicle before or after doing your laundry.
If you decide to use the car wash while your laundry is running, check your machine’s cycle time and make sure you’re back before it finishes. Promptly removing your clothes also helps keep machines available for other customers.
Enjoy Our Clean, Comfortable Location
Our Harpersville Road location has features designed to make laundry day easier and more comfortable.
You’ll find off-street parking, laundry carts, folding tables and indoor seating. The laundromat also offers free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TVs and vending machines. Video security covers the store, and the laundromat is fully attended.
Need to squeeze in another errand? CVS, Wawa, and Walmart are located nearby, making it convenient to take care of a few things during the same trip. Just remember to keep track of your laundry cycle and personal belongings.
Make One Trip Count
A little preparation can make laundry day go even faster. Before leaving home, sort your clothes by color and care requirements, empty pockets and pretreat noticeable stains. Gather your detergent and other laundry supplies together so they’re ready to go.
If you’re planning to use the car wash too, make sure your vehicle’s windows are completely closed and remove or secure any loose exterior items before starting your wash.
With a laundromat and car wash in one Newport News location, you can knock two chores off your list without making two separate trips.
